Leaky problems with Mk1 Eunos and Mk3 MX5

Earlier in the year i discovered a lake behind the drivers seat of my Mk1,followed the useful advice on here and (thought) i had unblocked the drain holes. I am now flooded again and am not sure what do do, it’s really spoiling my enjoyment of my lovely car.  Is there by any chance a nice friendly MX5 owner who lives within a reasonable distance of Watford Herts or Barton le clay Beds and knows about these drain holes who would perhaps have a look for me to see if i’ve done the drain hole thing properly? Smile

My second question is for my cousin who has a Mk3 and is getting water in the boot, hes getting no where with the dealer he brought it from a few months ago. I read a thread on here a while ago which mentioned some kind of notice issued my Mazda regarding this problem and a fix that was avaliable.i have searched but can’t find it,if any one rememebers it or knows what i’m talking about I would be grateful

I work in Bushey, live in Leighton Buzzard, also with Montego Blue Mk1 (not a RS though). Can have a look if you wish. You will need a straightened length of coat hanger wire and a small knife.

This  is probably the thread you recall about water in a MK3 boot

Thanks mark, I think that is the one I saw, I think there was also one that actually had the service bulletin on it, so i will dig around a bit to see if I can find it.

And AT thats great thanks, I will send you a message.

Many thanks to AT who came and sorted my leaky car for me. It turned out that the drain tube was unattached which is why i was getting a lake in the car.
