I have an original Leatherman Supertool, purchased circa 1996. When I purchased in the US, the warranty was all about returning the tool to Leatherman, and they would make the repairs, and service tool, and return. I’ve managed to break the tip off the bone knife, plus the plier jaws have taken a beating over the years, so time to make use of the unconditional warranty (these days its advertised as 25 years, but in reality, they warranty repair even the early 80s versions).
Thing is, these days, with so many obsoleted models, they don’t necessarily do a repair; Leatherman USA will offer effectively a store credit. Leatherman UK will offer an alternative model as a replacement. But what model is considered an alternative to the original Supertool? Back in the day, this was the top of the line model. A ST 300 would be pretty nice, but I wouldn’t like it if they just sent back a Squirt.

Long shot, but wondering if anyone has made use of the UK warranty process.
Pretty much the same break happened to mine
