Leaving and goodbye

Hello (and goodbye) to all. I’ve been a more “silent” member but have enjoyed and appreciated perusing the website and usually finding answers. Have sold our 14reg Mk3 auto and now have a Mercedes SL400 (it’s a comfort thing) and although the wee Mazda came equipped with an “automated gravity assisted entry system” :grin: (think about it) getting out was sometimes a laugh (at 72yrs young)

Gravity assisted system? For drivers side… put your left leg in, hang on to steering wheel and let go! Most times you’ll land in the seat :joy:

Hi Alf,
Sorry to see anyone leave but understand your motives.
Pity you can’t just poke your head round the door from time to time.
Enjoy the Merc and at least you can still enjoy the top down motoring experience.

Yes Merc’s make less demands on human bodies. My partner’s SLC is also quieter, but it feels so much heavier…
