Seems like alot of money for very little gain

With only a 2 year limited warranty and costing £450 it would not pass any of my buying criteria.
The MX-5 has never been what anyone would call a heavy car. A lot of money to save a little weight. One of the often quoted plus points is the “near 50:50 weight distribution”. Worth thinking about that.
To be fair I didn’t realise the Yusa battery in mine is only 12kg so only 7 to be saved. In terms of 50:50 I lost 3 with my back box!
The best way that I could lose 7Kg would be to eat less!
