Locking wheel nut…

I’m stuck and maybe someone will know, I have wheel nuts on my car and don’t have the key. If anyone knows where I can get a key for this nut please let me know

Had this problem about 2 months ago, The garage i took my car to for coilovers managed to get them off without the nut worrying really. I think i have the part number / there mcguard you can direct to them or mazda. Or replace with after markets

Could tell me the part number please

So mine is 2009 2.0 PRHT that had 17" on. the part number is MLE 8100-77-691. Your pic looks identical to mine but be ware that it could be different. I am only another owner

locking nut removal sockets and an impact tool will generally remove any lock nut/bolt or rounded lug nut/bolt.

Quite common for garages to have them.

They can cause a lot of problems , the key broke while undoing the ( very tight ) nuts. I found someone online who removed them and I replaced with standard nuts. Only cost about £40.00 to remove and for replacement nuts.

Halfords sell a kit that will remove locking wheel nuts as long as they are not the sort that can rotate independently.

Presumably you have looked both in the glovebox and in the wallet in the boot

They are McGard lock nuts and if you check your paperwork you may have the key code to order a replacement. They are around €20 delivered.

Whilst it may look like the pic @thomasp05 posted, there are hundreds of permutations so it’s unlikely they are the same.

Took my 20 year old NBFL, unannounced, to my local dealer early on a Saturday morning, Millcars removed mine, fitted the non locking nuts I supplied and threw in an unscheduled Summer check for an hour’s labour.

This is exactly why I threw mine away when I bought the car two years ago. Dirty rusty things which only cause grief; who steals wheels these days, anyway?

I had very similar bolts on my old Merc C Class… Locking key completely sheared inside so the local garage had no choice but to weld a bolt to the surfaces of my locking bolts and get them out that way… Hope you manage to get it sorted

Those are the type with the rotating sleeve (until it rusts in place) and they can be a little harder tp remove.

I’ve just had one snap off! Bit of an issue.
