Looking For Something To Fill This Hole

W.H.Y.?
Anyone ever had the mini disc player?

fit a double din stereo or android auto

Sorry, should have been clearer. Looking for cheap and cheerful for now. The car needs £’s spent elsewhere :grinning: 'Wondering if anyone might have an original one they’ve taken out or something else lying about. Just threw one out a few weeks back, always the same :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

If you just want something to gap fill, fit something like this:

The original ones can often be worth a bit, perhaps because people threw them away back in the day!

If you wanted originality and something that worked, I’d look at second hand Sony MDX models. You might get something in the £50-60 range that would suit the age of the car. But not sure what your cheap and cheerful budget equates to.
e.g. RETRO SONY MDX-CA580 CAR RADIO MINIDISC MD PLAYER | eBay

£15 for a new car stereo! how things have changed. Thanks for the suggestions, I’ve been told I need a USB one, don’t mind spending up to about £60 say. Not bothered about minidisc, 'was just curious if Mazda actually ended up selling many cars with them fitted. There are some original units on eBay for about £35 'unsure how good they were and if worth retro fitting would still like a USB for flash drives though.

I bought one of these when I had my Mk1, had USB and did the job well.

Looking at a Sony CDX-DAB500U

Posted this pic of my ramshackle garage music centre as a joke in the My Garage thread.

Turns out one is being offered on eBay for £189.99. Do you want me to dust it down?

Where do I plug my i-phone in? Sadly I chucked away all my cassettes a long time ago, (have you seen what old pre-recorded cassettes fetch nowadays?).

Sorted!
