Loose/woobly wing mirror

If you want a recommendation for some sticky stuff as a last resort, this in the link below. I used in a few times, timber porcelain (toilet pan) and metal. Once it’s stuck it is firmly stuck.
BTW they also do it in black👍

Is it easy to remove when needed?
I’m thinking of when the centre bolt @Wardy5 linked to gives up and you have the repair to do.
(and I can’t help but wonder if with the two fixing bolts/nuts being bad that the centre bolt won’t be far off following)

I will grab some of that stuff. I am very much doubting any other method,
hopefully it comes out okay

Hi S,
Just so you know you do not need a special tool, you can use a bolt with a nut on to ‘squash’ them.
Nut on bolt then bolt in the jack nut then hold the bolt firmly in a spanner and wind the nut clockwise to pull the jack nut towards you.

Thanks for that, I’d actually forgotten that you could do that.

I used to have a thread from the DriveTribe forums bookmarked which had all these hints for jack nuts on it, but DT closed their forums and there’s no web archive of the thread available.
