Looks like a MCGard wheel lock. These ended up being fitted by Mazda UK.
If you haven’t got a key code, there are various ways online to take these off. Not going to post a link for obvious reasons (why make it easy for them).
Looks like a code 913L. Mazda supplied McGuard wheel nut, your dealer should be able to remove it with their master set. While it’s un-damaged, IMO there’s no point it trying to got it off without a key.
Frankly the days of wheels being stolen unless they are the rare BBS or expensive Jap. Racing ones, particularly from vehicles of this age, is well gone. They either take the whole vehicle or just the Catalytic Converter.
Get the old locking nuts off and throw them away, buy 4 new std nuts and fit those, no haasle losing the key or needing to swop over when taking wheels off.
Someone will of course now post that they have had the Std 16" wheels stolen recently…
After misplacing my wheelnut key, I went to local Mazda dealer and, using their master set, were able to identify the code by trying each one in turn until they came to the one which fit. New one ordered, which arrived at dealership within a couple of days. They asked for proof of vehicle ownership before supplying.
Thanks. I’ll see what I can order. Brakes are sticking so and dealer miles away so don’t really want to try drive it to them. Appreciate the response and amazed you can identify the code!
I think thieves are motivated by whatever they can sell quickly down at the pub, be that VW BBS Splitrims, Skyline Volks or Mondeo Zetec wheels. They aren’t wheel aficionados.
There may be a sticker in/on the glove box to confirm the code or a piece of folded card in the owner’s wallet with it on. The last 3 digits confirm it from memory. I’d hate you to order the incorrect one, although I’m 99.9% sure that the code I’ve quoted is correct, I’m working from memory.
