Lowered our RF

Just had our Sport Nav + RF lowered at the dealers.

Have to say I don’t think the ride is compromised in anyway, if anything I think the car is far more composed. Very happy

Did mine a while back, agree with you 100%!

As with Bru’s car that looks spot on, when I finally get my soft top lowered I hope it looks as good.

I don’t know if it’s just me but the RF’s look as if they drop lower than the soft tops, does anyone else think that?

That looks so much better than standard. Which lowering springs did you fit?

Best thing you can do you will not regret it any one who says there car is OK as is as not driven a lowered one or a lesson to mazda stop building sports cars that look like 4x4 and put the right suspension…20 to 30 grand and you have to pay to make the car look right

nice mod, I’m also very happy

They are the springs from the dealer, supplied and fitted. Believe they are eibach but sure some else can confirm

Agree 100%, we did the same on our NC, which once again not only improved the looks but improved the ride and drive of the car. This was one of the main drivers to do the RF…even though the dealers said not too. This originally put us of ordering them at the same time as the car. But after 2 weeks we ordered them and had them fitted by the dealer

Fortunately for me they don’t come already lowered as I would find the ride painful to say the least.  My SE-L came with the non-sport standard suspension and a ride which I find comfortable, my 30AE comes with sport suspension and a ride which I can only just tolerate.  I had contemplated having it lowered prior to delivery but due to a question of lowering kit compatibility I didn’t, thank goodness, otherwise I would have probably found it too uncomfortable for me to drive.  So I think Mazda have got it right as the majority of people will be happy with their car suspension as it comes “out of the box”.
