I have a ‘new’, unused original Mazda stainless steel luggage/boot luggage rack fpr Mk2/2.5 (may fit Mk1 also?). Having decided that I will never use it I am going to e-bay it but have discovered that one the the 4 rubber mounting blocks (rectangular with ‘H’ shape recess on the top for the rack leg, not the cheap rubber sucker type). Does anyone know where I can obtain a replacement? I can e-mail photos to clarify. Thanks,
tried Mazda no joy. They told me it is a thule rack, it isn’t. It is a FAPA unispider rack, made in Italy. I tried e-mailing Fapa, no reply. Dealer in UK is thr Roofbox company, no sense out of them either
Same goes for me also. My car came with the same boot rack (not fitted), but with one of the rubber feet missing. We’ll soon have enough members to set up another group - The Three Legged Boot Rack Brigade/Clan/Gang/Group!
It might be a case of having to fabricate one to something the right shape, if they’re no longer available.
Did anyone ever find a supplier of these, I need one too. The previous owner had made one which is fine when there is no weight on it but as soon as I put anything on the rack it splays out and starts interfering with the rear wing
Hi there all you luggage rack lovers. I suffer the same problem, one of my blocks is missing. Carved up a wooden one but its not the solution. Cant find one anywhere so…
Just an idea, perhaps could buy a used rack off Ebay, I think they go for about £100, then perhaps four of us with same problem could pay around £25 each for the blocks…or is that too expensive?
