Ma5da Racing at Brooklands Scalextric Festival Sunday August 8th

On Sunday August 8th Ma5da Racing will be exhibiting at Brooklands Motor Museum in Weybridge, Surrey. They are coming along to exhibit as guests of Scalextric who part sponsor the MX5 racing series. Ma5da Racing will be taking along a number of race prepared cars for display. Also in their hospitality we will be providing them with a Scalextric track for visitors to race around. For this special event we have specially commisioned a batch of 1/32nd scale  MK1 MX5s to be produced and have converted them to race on the Scalextric track.

Also at the event will be around 20 different tracks for the public to race on, including a 4 lane track to race up the 350 foot 1 in 4 historic test hill and a drag strip under the iconic Concorde aircraft. There will also be trade stalls & manufacturer displays including the Scalextric & Airfix roadshows.

The event promises to be a fantastic day out for all the family and with the added bonus of an MX5 theme it would be great to see as many MX5 owners & cars there as possible.

For those that haven’t visited Brooklands before it is within 5 miles of Jct 10 or 11 of the M25 and is a really magical place, it is now the home of a Concorde & a Napier Railton. Plus a whole range of other motoring & aviation exhibits.

Hope to see you there

Mods - please feel free to move this to a more suitable thread.

I’d like to get hold of one of those 1/32 scale MX5’s.

Or does this mean we will shortly be able to buy them in Scalextric sets?

The 1/32 scale MX5s will be available for sale at the festival. Initially as a kit of the MK1 race versions so that you can build / paint them up in your own colours. Later we will have a MK1 Eunos version with hard top. The bodies have been carved from scratch and are 1/32nd scale and are then moulded in resin, we will be able to supply them with a chassis to build up into either a Scalextric car or without running gear into a static display car.

What about a MK3 slot car?
