MAF Sensor Cleaning

Hi All,

I have been reading on Miata.net about the success that can be gotten by cleaning the MAF sensor when suffering from poor idling, my MK1 suffers a bit when warm for some reason. Cleaning the MAF sensor has proven successful for some and I so I set about sourcing the product they use on Miata.netMiata.net

In the states it is known as CRC Mass Air Flow Cleaner but after a few emails to CRC, states and Europe, their UK distributor emailed me with the correct product, in Europe its called CRC Air Sensor Cleaner.

So here is a link to the distributors website should you wish to purchase, Moto-Electrical

I must admit the shipping is a bit pricey, £6.00, but I have seen this stuff sell for around £20 on The Bay!

I shall let you know if it sorts my idling problem although the my engine bay is going to get all sorts of cleaning treatment over the winter months.

I used this from Halfords http://answers.halfords.com/answers/4028/product/778340/questions.htm  Did the job fine, but admittedly, had no problems with the engine in the first place. It would be interesting to find out your results.

You can get it for around £10 on ebay.
