According to the Mahle catalogue and Opie Oils the correct fitment for my NC is OC1182, however Europarts just sold me an OC1063 off my registration… dimensions appear the same…anyone know what the difference is?
Quick search shows them as same thread and width but one is 93.5mm long against 89mm long.

Work in a motor factors we have OC1063 as a direct x ref for the MX 5.
I had the same issue with another brand from ECP. Still got it as I went with the one the filter manufacturer said was correct, rather than ECP’s database.
Similar experience here.
Bought Bosh Oil filter from Eurocarparts and annoyingly found out that it doesn’t fit (after oil been drained). I wrote back to them, they apologised sent another one which was wrong again.
At the end they just admitted issues with data base and gave me a refund.
As nice touch they agreed to supply new oil.
Ended up getting K&N filter from BOFI Racing
