Black Circles - Has anybody used them and how did you get on ?
I ordered 4 tyres on Monday for proposed delivery today (which they said an email would confirm, and it didn’t) I’ve just been back to my place of work to collect them after receiving a call to say they’d turned up and they’ve only delivered 3 when I ordered 4
I’ve dropped them a line asking what they know and I’m waiting to hear.
Anybody had any dramas like this with them of am I alone ??
I’m collecting a set of freshly painted and refurbed wheels tomorrow with the view to having them and my new tyres on for the weekend. Ever hopeful you might say…
Rant off !!
Only problem I had was the brusque service I got at ATS tyres when they were fitted. Apparently they make no money out of the deal and don’t like the idea. Can’t blame them really.
I nearly used Black circles last year. Got a quote from my local garage to fit them, they used to be fitting agents for them but stopped doing it.
Anyways, I spoke to them again about fitting and I’ll get the tyres ordered, they asked what tyres do you want? Let’s see if we can match it including fitting, they did so they had the order to supply and fit.
I already knew they wanted £14 per corner to fit and balance, it worked out ok and they even got me the higher speed rated tyre, all done in 2 days.
So try your local garage first you may be surprised but maybe too late now.

Had three cars done by Black Circles. Spot on every time. Fitting was at a Tesco mega store near Cambridge.
We’ve never used BC for just mail order, but we have used them for in-situ tire replacements on several occasions and never had a problem.
Of course, in the case of in-situ replacements you get to choose the company that comes and fits them, so it’s as much about the service that company provides than of BC, and we’ve always used the same company.

Yes used them for 4 Kumho tyres fitted by local ATS. However when I went to ATS the tyre fitter spotted one tyre was the wrong size. Apparently this was not the first time it had happened and was why he always checked all BC tyres before fitting.
I’ve found www.mytyres.co.uk pretty good.
Thanks for the replies fellas…my local tyre guy will do the fitting, we go back many years.
The biggest niggle being…if they don’t show with the 4th tomorrow, it scuppers my plans for “new wheels weekend”. It’s not that I’m impatient, I just can’t stand waiting …
That’s no excuse for the ATS people being off-hand with you. They opt to work with BC, they are not forced into it against their will. I might boycott that branch of ATS over the incident, not BC.
Personally used black circles and had no issues. All ordered really smoothly. Got my confirmation email. Got another email to let me know that they were going to be slightly later than original but that didn’t make a difference to me. Don’t have experience in having them fitted by someone else as since I work at a garage, I used the tyre machine myself in my lunch break.

I use BC almost every time I need tyres and have never had a problem. A couple of times the fitting garage has asked me what I paid and been unable to match it… Asda Tyres is OK, used them once because price and availability was better on that occasion.
I’ve used BC a few times. Just used them recently for a pair of Michelin PS4 on the Audi. (10% discount on the Michelins). Fitted by the local ATS. Never had a problem.

I’ve used them twice in the past never had any problems .
I paid for 72 hour delivery for a set of four tyres from “Mytyres.co.uk”, needed to get my work car through its MOT. Six weeks later, still no tyres. The company continually tried to fob me off and refused to refund my money; obviously I’d had to buy tyres from elsewhere after all that time. I eventually got my bank to do a chargeback. In the meantime I looked up details of the company. Based on their name, you would think they would be a UK company. They definitely aren’t. I was able to trace my order and my tyres never left Germany.
I have used Black Circle many times which have always delivered on time and at a great price.
I totally agree with Dipstick about the terrible service at ATS. When I went to the Colchester branch to have the tyres fitted, you could feel the resentment by both the chap in reception and the fitter.

I used BC 2 weeks ago for 4 x new tyres tyres for my Tesla due to the poor roads us southerners have to suffer!! the fitting was done at the local Halfords - Hassle free and a decent price.
I have used black circle for 3 cars 16 tyres, the only problem I had was one tyre kept going down after being fitted and Black circle and the fitter said they didn’t do repairs to go to a tyre centre. The tyre centre found the valve was faulty. It cost me for the repair of the faulty valve which is wrong
I’ve previously used Camskill for tyres, but they only supply them, so you need to find a friendly tyre fitter to put them on for you.
I have used the Halfords ‘on the drive fitting servive’ and excellent service and good price for tyres…
I usually use National tyre usually have internet deals if you buy and book appointment online. They also give discount for AA members. I also like a company called Just Tyres also do deals if bought and booked online up until recently they only did tyres so you got none of the ‘would you like a free battery or brake check’ malarkey I always check prices against place like Mytyres and black circles found price difference to be negligible
