My car has lowered Eibachs and Bilstein shocks (bought it that way) and I keep grounding out on country roads. There was a big noise a few days ago and I’ve snapped my exhaust centre section clean break. That fits into an IL Motorsport backbox (also came with car).
I’m not sure if any of my local guys would weld, so I’m just considering replacing the whole centre section with something highflow as at some point in next few months, I’m planning a BBR s/200 kit.
I checked out the Cobra one and nearly spat my tea out at the cost (£700+), the BBR one is also £600+, both quite a lot over my car maintenance budget this month.
Then I came across the Malain one on Bofi Racing. So much cheaper, its a bit suspicious.
Wondered if anyone has experience with it?
If your still running standard manifold and cat why not get a straight through ?

Do you mean from the secondary cat back?
From what I can see there is a cat on the exhaust manifold, a secondary cat on the first part of the center section and the second mid pipe has a resonator.
I have yet to find anyone selling just the final mid section alone, just de-cat removing the secondary cat and resonator, but that would be an MOT failure.
So I have found this diagram.
This de-cat would remove the secondary cat, unless you just used the final section and left the secondary cat alone?

does seem odd you can’t just replace the last part, from what i have seen so far, its sold as both sections, the secondary cat and the resonator part before the back box.
Mine is broken just at the rear before the resonator and back box.
These guys do a replacement centre section with cat and 5 year warranty for less then £190

From manifold downpipe joint , getting manifold cat hot enough on MoT day before test should see it through.

I went for the (MOT) safe option and got the 200cell cat from Milian. Managed to pick up same day from Bofi and fitted it this afternoon.
It’s excellent quality, fitted perfectly. Gives a nice deeper sound to exhaust without really increasing the volume or drone.
