Keep an eye out for me folks! Black NC, non-sport. I’ve seen a nice red NB, silver NC, a couple of NA’s, couple more NC’s, two ND’s including a gorgeous white number!
Bizarrely I don’t seem to get many waves back…
I will deliberate. I will get waved at.
I have returned to the five scene after a break, and have been disappointed by the number of wavers. Even the odd mk1 not waving! I just wave at everyone and to hell with the consequences! Sometimes I wave and then remember I’m in a Hyundai! Which I think adds a little mystique to the whole tradition.
I had a very bewildered look from a lady driving a silver NC this morning. I don’t think she could quite understand why I was waving. Haha, well if ever I’m driving around the country and someone in an i10 waves, I’ll have a good guess as to who it might be!

Last week I set off from my home near Chester, down the A483/A5 to Oswestry, then on to Lake Vyrnwy, and saw 7 different MX5s, including one lovely NC (56-plater)in true red driving around the lake. Coming back via Bala and A5104 saw another 4 of them. And, as you say, all marks but mostly NBs.
Yet only one (the red NC) had the courtesy to return my greeting - is it me? 
Or have we stopped such frivolities on the grounds we might all be hairdressers on the way to the stylists convention?

Just drove back last night from South Wales and not one of the 4MX5’s seen on the way returned the greeting.
Maybe my copper red NC Sport becomes invisible in the Autumnal sunshine?

That’s definitely working! I had another wave from an NB this morning, dark blue with white stripes in Swansea!
Got a wave back from a smart silver NB on A51 into chester this afto…

I waved at a light blue mk1 between Falmouth and Truro on Saturday, trouble was I was a passenger in the wife’s Kia Venga at the time. But I did speak to a prospective new member in a nice black UK spec mk1 in Exeter services about 13:20 on Saturday.
Good job folks! It’s refreshing to see peace like this between people! I had a flick of the headlights from a silver mk1 this evening in the Llanelli area of the UK! I did wave back if they’re reading this but I was a little late! I’ll give a toot next time! 
By the time my headlights have lifted, flashed and gone down again the other chaps about a mile away!
Have seen a load of Mx5’s of late - a light green mk1 with a solid hood driven by someone with an impressive moustache!
Have also seen some lasses driving mk3’s… have waved but haven’t had anything back 
Not too long ago saw a black, clean, modified mk3. Had a large spoiler and was sat fairly low.
Saw an older gentleman driving a laguna blue mk1 near Tesco Fforestfach. Gave him a wave but had a strange look in return…
Lastly there’s a mk1 that I’ve often seen around the corner from my house outside a local garage, little red number with some tape on the rear screen.
