Thanks very much for the help, would anyone have a link to buy the bushes please ?

MX5 Parts apparently sell them. Not expensive ( even from them)
Part No. S.I. 3189. Need 2…about a fiver each or summat.
If for any reason you need a new shifter, Andrew at Autolink in Dumfries has mine.
He’s just done a Manual into my '93 auto and might have the bits.
It is odd changing gear in a car I’ve had 15 years…but it’s fun.
Getting bits for these old Auto’s eg sensors etc is not fun however.

As an aside, I would advise inspecting the external pressure pipes on the transmission for rot.
Clean them off, and get some “stuff” on them but avoid leccy connections.
Don’t ask me why I know.

Why was you have issues with her?

Yes.
Multiple issues with bad garage workmanship pretty much ruined 2 trannies.
Cost me a lot of money. Too long a story and I’d rather not detail it in public tbh.
Got hissed off and handed my car over to “our Andrew” in Dumfries to convert.
What he found they’d done…was a bit of a shocker.
It’s a nice snick snicker 5 speeder now…Im happy.
Job jobbed.
