Hello,
Has anyone tried a £30 Mass Air Flow meter (MAF) from Ebay?
Like this one…
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252400671194?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Are they ok or would they damage the car?
Many thanks,
Rob
WE can supply a Genuine Mazda used one for that. And there are few different numbers fitted to mx5 so general description on ebay may not suit your car.

Not on my MX5…
But on my other car, Peugeot 406 HDI, when I had some MAF problems,
the advice given to me was to avoid the cheap Chinese ones on eBay and elsewhere…
And to go for good second-hand genuine article (Siemens, for the 406 ) at around the same price, or shell out the £90+ for a new one.
Thanks for the replies. I did find that EuroCarParts sell new Nipparts MAF’s for £54 (down to £41 when you use the code SALE25).
So that might be a better option than the Ebay one.
