Hi would anyone kindly help me out with this precise model,!!
whts so special about the special package?
what is the BHP and Top Speed?
Is it different to the UK spec?
whts its value??
If the car is exactly as you describe it then it is an import and will have 114 bhp, and a top speed of about 115 mph, on a good day. The japanese described the early Mk1 with alloy wheels, air con electric windows and a MoMo steering wheel as a Special package…I have one[;)] UK cars from the same period had non of the frills. Value, anything from £500-£2000
Sorry Geoff [8-|] UK cars from the same period had the special package as std. You could not get a UK poverty spec, but you could get a poverty spec Roadster. Aircon was an option in both markets, but often ordered in Japan, and almost never UK
Thanks for that Richard, I learn a little something every day-----
Thanks folks, but the car is a mk2 1999 model and its done about 55,000miles!!!
Should have read Mazda bit in the title
I presume it has an electric pack fitted (windows mirrors)
It will be 110 bhp
Viscous LSD was part of the Special Package. VLSD was a very expensive option in the UK. SP also meant an upgraded Panasonic cassette/CD player, though frequently, the CD player will need fixing by now (though when it works, I really like the factory radio). SPs also often had sill covers and boot spoilers fitted at the factory (cost options). Over here, the sill covers were a dealer fit, as were the boot spoilers. 2 boot spoilers available in Japan that were factory supplied. here, Mazda offered either a single factory design, or a locally sourced (TSW) spoiler. Lots more options available there.

Oops, didn’t read this far, so ignore my other reply.
Should be more or less the same spec as UK car, except the seats are of a different design (high backs with fixed headrest). From memory, options on the Mk2 in Japan were the same as the UK, except for some local oddities, such as a toll road system, Bose hi-fi and electric tyre jacks.
