Mazda badge fell off.

My Mazda badge, the one on the back of the car beside the tail lights, has fallen off. Ok, it didn’t fall off actually… I accidentally blasted it off with the pressure washer.

Any suggestions as to what I should stick it back on with?

Double sided sticky tape, the sort you can stick number plates on with.

Send me a SAE and I will send you a piece, if you tell me how large a piece you require. All you do is stick it on the badge and trim the excess off with a scalpel or Stanley knife then peel the backing off and stick it on the car, after you have cleaned the area that you would like to put it on.

This is really strong and you can buy a roll  for  about £3 from a motor factor, i always have some it’s surprising what you can use it for, it was kind of pollyanna to offer you some free.

Bodyshops use a tape known as “badge tape”. It is a a thin foam tape with a strong acrylic adhesive on both sides. Common widths are 19mm and 25mm.

I’d never use a power washer on the bodywork after seeing the next door neighbour strip the paint off the bumpers of his brand new Mondeo, several years ago.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, and to Pollyanna for your kind offer. I ended buying some double sided tape, be good to have a roll lying around.

The only thing to add to this, for anyone else buying this tape , is get the number plate type which as i say, is very strong and just as important, waterproof. You can buy stuff from pound shops and other cheap outlets, which is fine for indoor use.
