Anyone know a good garage for mazda mx-5 servicing (2009 2.0 roadster coupe) in the east surrey / west Sussex area?
Godfreys of Horsham (actually in Southwater just a mile south) is a Mazda dealer (for parts and service only) with a lot of MX5 experience.
They usually offer a 20% discount for the first time you have a service there.

However for non-dealer servicing you could try Nightingale Service Centre in Horsham.

Brillaint, thanks mate.
Can second Godfreys. Took mine in 2 weeks ago and going back from some extra work in 2 weeks.
if you can make it to the coast, The Car Surgery in Wick, near Littlehampton, is run be ex Mazda guys and much cheaper than dealers. £144 for a service, I think the hourly rate is currently £48. A few of the West Sussex guys use them.

Last time I used Godfreys they were £75 per hour. You pays your money and makes your choice.

When I used to run a Porsche, I learnt the hard way that it pays to use a manufacturer trained technican for any problem diagnosis - because they will take a lot less time to do it and/or have the right specialised equipment.
I had a problem with my ABS light, took it to The Car Surgery who checked everything and could not find the fault, and did not charge me a bean. I took it to Lifestyle Mazda who charged me £88 to tell me they could not find the fault and would I be willing to pay for another 3 hours @ £88 for an electrican to test the car. The Car Surgery suggested an electrican who I called and he said it would be a waste of money for him to check something that two garages could not find. Autolink UK swapped an ABS unit as a test and it worked, sold me a second hand unit for 1/10th of the Mazda price. You pays your money …
Fine, I had to pay for hours of someone tracing wiring to find out where it went, when a proper manufacturer wiring diagram would have told them the answer.
