Mazda wheel identification?

  1. My model of MX-5 is: __'91 V-spec
  2. I’m based near: __
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __15" wheels
I recently acquired a set of these wheels, and I’d like to know if they were originally fitted to the “Californian” special edition. Can anyone help, please?

Nice wheels. Look smart with the centre cap in that design!

The centre caps are/were in poor shape, the plastic having become brittle with age. They’re now glued in.The original logo was an embossed aluminium sticker which I peeled off and replaced with the V pattern stickers from Autolink. Wheel refurb was by Autowheels, Southampton.

Mk2 California wheels, not a factory wheel, fitted by local importer.

Definitely MK2 California…I’ve got them on my car. :sunglasses:

Thanks for that info. I’ve also been looking for a set of decent centre caps, but no luck so far.

From memory I think they were OZ Polaris wheels, they are very similar to Mille Miglia Spider wheels I had a set of them in 16" on my mk1 years ago.
So caps for either should fit.

They have “Made in Italy” and 15" 6.5JJ cast on the back face…

OZ Polaris as someone’s said. I’m new to Mx5 so wouldn’t know if OEM wheels, but if they’re fitted with spigot rings then they won’t be. If they fit on the hub without need for spigots then OEM, I’d say.
