One of the members has just posted pics of a Mazdaspeed Airdam fitted to their NC2 - details here - looks superb and it got me thinking about my front end.
This is clearly designed for the NC2, but what about the NC3 lower splitters? Could they be retro fitted to an NC2 bumper? Yes, you could source a whole nose cone from the later car, but then you’ve got to get it sprayed and the fog lamps are different as is the grille etc.
Anyone seen it done before? Is there an exploded parts diagram that shows how they fit? Other splitter options for the NC2 ?

I’ve seen them fitted to one car at the spring rally a couple of years back but they were not quite right.
They don’t extend all the way to the wheel arch and curve down slightly at that end so they looked a bit wrong at that point.
There was a thread on Miata forum where someone posted their pick of the nc2 version and then comment about how a mate had fitted the nc3 ‘winglets’ to his nc2. Went on to say that they looked very OEM but had taken some fetling to achieve the right look. Even posted a picture that looked decent but was too far away to be sure.
As they are cheapish, around £15 from mx5 parts, I’d toyed with having a play with them myself to see what could be achieved.
