Mazdaspeed Rollbar

Hello all, I recently discovered that my Eunos V-Spec has what may be a Mazdaspeed rollbar? My only reason for believing this is a mazdaspeed item is because of the sticker though! Can anyone confirm whether this is or not? Are they rare/ sought after as I’m not desperate for it, but having recently rolled an MX-5 I quite like the feeling of having a rollbar!

 Looks like the same as the one I had.

 

So your on a JDM winner there…Fetch good money on fleabay.

But do understand thats its just a sturdy looking stylebar as it bolts onto the flimsy sheet metal of the parcel shelf…Not a full Roll bar.

Fair enough, where do the full roll cages mount? I was surprised when I rolled my MX-5 how much the hood frame actually took! Glad it was too cold for the hood down. My mini has a full 6 point safety devices rollcage in - that makes you feel a whole lot more secure in the collapsable package that is a mini.

Full cages go to the floor behind the seats, and restrict seat travel quite a bit (I’m 5’9" and on the limit of backwards seat travel in mine with a cage and FIA steel framed bucket seats)

You can get substaintial roll over protection from bars which mount to the chassis hard points below the parcel shelf.

The best thing to do is avoid rolling over, if possible [:D]
