Hi all, and Happy New Year.
I’m also a newish first time owner, a bit disappointed at the lack of local events. Enjoyed the national rally. Great to hear about the Yate meetings, so will give it a try. Hope to see soon.

If a group fancied a Saturday run it’s always worth visiting Total 5’s Saturday Club in Barry. A lot of helpful like minded people. Check it out on Total5’s facebook
Can’t see why there can’t be a meet at both the Cross Hands and The Litton. Especially if organised on a different day or week of the month. Nice to have choices as we are all spread out across the Western map.
And the Barry Total 5’s looks a great choice for a weekend trip, so thanks for that ![]()
Although there’s no AC, a number of Western Area members still meet monthly at the Cross Hands. This was posted on FB earlier today, so it’s probably worth joining the Western FB group as well as using the Forum.
Happy New Year all. I’ve made a regular booking for the Cross Hands private dining room on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 14 Jan through to Nov. 6pm for those to eat first, 7:30 ish for the rest.
Let’s hope we get a new AC this year
Hi,
I’m in Yate not to far for meet ups near Bath.
Hi Steve, I used to live in Yate, Lancaster Road by The Farmhouse, but that’s a long time ago now! In fact I can literally remember when that was all fields lol.
I’m not far from the farm house. They spent alot of money on it a year ago it’s pretty nice now.
That is great news will emdeavour to get to at least one in the coming year ![]()
Good motorcycling friend of mine lives at the other end of the Lancaster Road loop in Yate, just round the corner from the house that got demolished by the gas explosion last April, one of the many reasons I have kept my contacts in the West Country since temporarily relocating to the M25 a couple of years ago.
Evening all, I’ve recently joined the club so saying hello for the first time. I’m also based just south of Bath and would love to meet up with some local owners/enthusiasts. Will give you a wave if I see you out on the roads!
Hi Annabel, welcome to the club, there seems to be quite a lot of us new members around who are keen to meet up. I live just outside of Radstock ,we always wave so maybe we’ll see you around. We’re not hard to miss as ours is an NC in light metallic blue with a dark brown soft top, so quite an unusual colour ![]()
Out of interest how many do you think will go to the Cross hands ?
Hi all,
We are planning on going to the meet up at the Cross Hands tomorrow night. Our first local meet. Hope to see you there.
Steve and Caroline
Looking at FB photos around a dozen in the Summer, probably less at this time of year.
Never been to the Cross Hands as we’re over an hour away (almost into Berkshire)
Hi all.
Just reporting back. Slightly suprised to meet about 20 at the Cross Hands on Wednesday. Made very welcome as newbies. They were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Can confirm there are plans to meet there every 2nd Wednesday of the month for the rest of the year. The meet isn’t publicised through official club emails because of there not being area coordinators in place. Met a number of members who have done their time as coordinators. Many, including me, happy to help organise events, but not ready to take on the coordinator role.
Any other new members, please come along to the meet or any suggested meets / events, and meet other members. You will be made welcome. Steve and Caroline.
I may well drop in for the meetups occasionally.
I’m out the Oxford side of Cheltenham but my wife and I do grandparenting duties in Bath every week or so and on a good day it’s a nice drive dropping down through Cirencester on the Fosse Way then on through Tetbury and past Old Sodbury. (On the grotty days we take her car :¬)
Clevedon cars and coffee is also a possible meet up/ run out.
