Merlot Register

Gosh ! Shock I think we’re at cross purposes here ? Wink

What wheels on what car are you actually asking about ? Confused

Hi, Yes I’m still here, and yes you did see the car on ebay. I sold it to an enthusiastic new owner in the Scottish borders , hope your enjoying it Lisa.

To answer the wheels question, they were Mazda arctic alloys, so I was told, quite rare had a few enquiries about them. Not standard for the Merlot but Mazda alloys, and quite suit the car IMHO.

 Ah, not mine then Shock

I’ll get me coat. Cool

Hard top up for sale on ebay.

A couple of pictures at last! She’s in the shop this week having the rear arches done, replacement rear screen hood section fitted, and wax oil. Hopefully I’ll have her back on Friday. These were taken a few weeks ago after full works wash/clay/wax inside and out job. I’m booked in for Rougham in two weeks time, are any other Merlots going? I’ll have to see if I can find where the original number plate is written down, this one came with the car…

Claire.

Here is my VR Combination A… I guess this still counts to be on the register…

Hi, I havent been on here for some time, is the Merlot register a new thing?

I have one, if I could work out how, I would post some pictures!

‘Merlot register’ is just the title I decided to give this thread when I started it last year. When I got my Merlot I wondered how many were in the hands of club members and thought it would be nice to have somewhere that we could show of our beautiful cars to each other. No discussions about whether Mk1,2 or 3 is best or 1.6 or 1.8 etc etc. We’ve got the best even if some don’t agree so this is just somewhere we don’t get bothered by all that meaningless stuff. Just stick some pictures up and we will all go ooh and aah and it’ll keep us happy until the sun comes out and we can go back out to play.

There’s a very nice man called Geoff who lives in a land far away and writes lots of useful stuff on the forum including a thread on how to do fancy things with pictures and the forum. Here’s the link - http://www.mx5oc.co.uk/forum/forums/t/7994.aspx

I really like the idea of getting as many Merlots as possible together, and going for a drive, could we organise this do you think??

Hi Bkokane. Seriously beautiful pictures and nice subtle mods on the car. Rather like the repositioned ‘Merlot’ badges.

Thanks Roadie! Smile

Hi, I’m a new forum member and a new owner of a MK1 MX5 Merlot, see pictures below

No pics?

Hi Geoff, I did what it said to place pics on this thread but it obviously didn’t work. My pics are on Flickr and I copied the link into the message but didn’t work, any ideas?

I’m just tried it again but it still didn’t work. I have entered the links that I’m tyring to post into the message below, is this the correct way to do it?

Welcome! Sorry still no Pics Jeremy. No worries. Are you going to the National?

See you Julian

Hi Julian, thanks for the welcome. I’ve had to copy the links to my pics on Flickr in my message above so that you can at least copy and paste them into your web browser. I’ve done exactly what it said to do to post pics but it just won’t work for me, I don’t know if it’s because my photos are hosted by Flickr and everyone elses seem to be hosted by Photobucket so that could be the problem but I’m not going to sign up to photobucket just to post a few pics on here, at least I managed to get an ‘Avatar’ pic of my car next to my name in each post.

Won’t be going to the Nationals as I don’t have any spare days off to attend.

Jeremy Crawshaw, Bournemouth

 Larry & Sue Hi

Sorry the hear that you are having to sell, she looks to be a great example, lets hope with luck she ends up in a good home.

Julian

Thanks for that Julian - yes, she’s a great little car and will bring a lot of pleasure to the next owner.

Appreciate your encouragement.
