As above. Were the Mk1 Merlot, VR-A and the Mk2 Icon all the same colour? I know the Mk1’s were - but the Mk2?
The mk2 Icon of 2000 was definitely marketed as ‘Art Vin Rouge/Red Mica’ - so I assume that it was exactly the same A1Q colour code paint as the UK Mk1 Merlot and the JDM VR-Limited Combination A. But I have no evidence on the paint code for the Icon.

The Icon uses the 23E code but that’s not to say it isn’t exactly the same colour though!
As you say, it is described in the same way.
