Not mine, but my brother’s. Belong to his missus, the timing belt snapped (1992 really old shape Micra). The engine is probably toast, but he wants to put a new belt on and see if it will start. He doesn’t have a Haynes, and no one stocks one for a car as old as this.
He can’t really located any alignment marks on the pulleys. Nothing really on the net specific to the K10 engine, so I was taking a flying guess that its not too dissimilar to this Nissan Stanza engine:
His cam pulley seems to be similar to the second one (from a phone description). I guessed getting the lug of the keyway pointing up would be about TDC. He’s found the dimple on the water pump pulley, but there are no marks on the new timing belt. So what to do?
