Hi Everyone update 17/07/2023
We will be leaving the Mill on the Soar, Coventry Road, Broughton Astley LE9 6QD at 11:15 am. If you wish to come earlier and join us for a coffee inside before hand you will be most welcome. If not, just be in the car park for our 11:15 start. We have planned a run of approximately one hour, giving us time for a spot of lunch somewhere for those that would like some before our afternoon tour, tea and biscuits at the Framework Knitters Museum.
If you would prefer to go straight there and meet us, we are planning to use the Paddock Street Car Park, Wigston, LE18 2AN. Although there are other car parks too as there is no parking close to the museum, it is just a short walk away.
Can I please ask you to let us know if you will be meeting us in Wigston or joining us in the morning at the Mill on the Soar, so we know who to expect?
Thank you David and Ann

The Secret Garden at Wigston Framework Knitters Museum.
42-44 Bushloe End, Wigston, LE18 2BAN ALL PLACES NOW FILLED
For those of you lucky enough not to work on a Wednesday Afternoon, I have arranged an afternoon private group trip to this Victorian Walled Garden approx 70’ x 80’ with traditional cottage garden planting, referred to as ‘Higgledy Piggledy’ because of the random planting. Which is part of the 'Gardens open for Charity Leicestershire & Rutland 2023 Scheme.
Managed by a group of volunteers. Located in the gardens of the historic Framework Knitters Museum (a small museum). They will also provide tea/coffee and cake. And a tour of the Museum. A £8.00 charge per person will go to the Framework Knitters Museum.
They will take a maximum number of 20 persons. On the A5199 Wigston bypass, follow yellow signs to Paddock Street public car park, from there follow the yellow signs onto Long Street to All Saints Church, turn right onto Bushloe End, Museum on the Right.
Hopefully this will be an extra afternoon to get together, socialise in pleasant surroundings for those that have nothing else to do for the afternoon,

Hi David and Ann
Could you provisionally put our names down for afternoon garden tour Karen has just put in a holiday request for the day and is waiting to hear back from work.
Cheers Dave and Karen
Hi All
The museum visit starts at 14:00.
We are in the process of organising a little run through some nice country lanes first for those that would like to join us. For those that just want to take the Garden and Museum Tour, we will meet you outside the museum around 13:45. Address and parking details as per above.
If you would like to join us for a little run first, we are suggesting meeting at the Mill on the Soar, Coventry Road, Broughton Astley LE9 6QD (opposite the Shell Garage) and then take the run to Wigston. We hope you will bear with us until Monday for the exact meet up time as we intend to do a trial run on Saturday and then we can let you know the exact time to meet up and perhaps have a coffee first.
Thank you for your patience.
David and Ann
