So I know it isn’t 1999 but still, I’m looking for the Minidisc player addition for the stock Bose head unit (2006 NC) and can’t find one anywhere. Has anybody here removed one from their car that they’d want to sell, or know where on earth I would be able to find one? Thanks in advance
I was looking for one of these as well. The only one I found was on a US site for $$$ and expensive UK shipping. If I was really interested I could use my old single DIN Sony MD car player with boot mounted CD changer in place of the existing unit but it’s not that important.
Yeap, i’d heard the same; U.S. based site charging $400 for one ?? I seriously considered it (if I could even find the site that is) but I think it’s probably cheaper to buy a single DIN fascia, and all the gubbins to undergo the full “Bosesectomy” & slap in the Sony MD unit.
If minidiscs are what you want, could you get a portable player, mount it in the glovebox with Velcro and run the aux in from rear of Bose unit to the 3.5mm output Jack on the player? I know it’s not ‘all in’ but would give you the ability to play MD’s.

There’s an aux in at the back of the Bose unit? If so, cheers, I’ll look into it. That’d be even easier ?? and a damn sight cheaper.

Hi again, not my picture but you get the idea, the plug you connected to is the one in the green circle the CD changer port, smaller of the two main plugs, I think that one is a mk3 but same plug type.

Gotcha, thanks again man. I’ll buy one in 3-4 weeks after I’ve had a good run through my old CD’s. I didn’t even know those things were an option tbh. Just had a good scan through that parts shop & I can see a few quid mounting up from here ??
