Mk 2 Double din CD Fitting ??

Hi Folks wonder if I could pick your brains on fitting a new stereo please.

 

My Mk 2 has a radio cassette with a double din. I need to fit a single CD player so need a facia panel. I’ve had a look on E Bay without much success. A couple of questions- Is it possible to blank the unneeded part of, Is there an easy fit double din facia or has anyone any other ideas.

Yeah it can be blocked out , try mx5 parts or autolink mx5, you will see one straight away.

This is the part I’m talking about below the radio, or you can put it above the radio, the choice is yours.

The very bottom picture is a fitted clock cubby above the radio, this was the option I had when I sold the Mk2. You can pick the clock cubbies up from ebay, always the odd one on there, mine is as the pic, a plain cubby as you do get a clock usually with aftermarket head units. The one I have are sold on MX5parts for not much money.
