Mk 3 lower suspension arm rear bush orientation

I am looking for technical advice on fitting the front lower arm rear suspension bush orientation. I had to saw the old bushes out so have no reference point on fitting the new bushes. The bushes have different protrusions from the main body. I have attached two photos on the alternatives. Thanks for looking John

Looking at this listing - it would suggest that the bush sticks out more at the top

Thanks for the reply yes it look like it is opposite to the ball joint stud. I had looked at some other listings for new lower arm with bushes but couldn’t be certain which way round they are. I am now going to assume both sides will be the same i.e opposite to the ball joint stud.
Thanks again
John

Don’t forget to align the flex holes in the bushing according to the Fig 21 spec

Most of the time I would centre the bush in the arm housing to allow the best range of movement in the rubber. But I don’t have a specific guide on this bush.

Just looked through my photos.
It looks like the “460” moulded in the rubber goes to the top of the arm.

Thanks for the info Richard I had started to insert one of these bushes and had approximated the alignment from the old bush which I took a picture of nice to get the correct info. Guess what 50/50 chance that I got it the right way, this job has been a nightmare every nut and bolt. I got the wrong 50.
I feel as though the last straw is just round the corner.
Thanks again
John

Thanks for pictures as mentioned in my other message had started to install one of the bushes the wrong way, have now to remove and start again.
Thanks again
John

I decided to poly bush the complete car.
Their rear bush has “this side up” moulded in to it.
