The MK Classic Car Tour features laps around the Alpine Circuit at Millbrook and finishes at the Porsche Driving Experience at Silverstone with trips around the handling circuit and a hog roast. There will be around 200 cars from Vintage Classics to modern Ferraris - and the organiser has told me MX5s of all ages would be welcome.
I will be co-ordinating the Norfolk entries on Wednesday night with a view to getting applications in by the end of the week. If anybody else from Eastern Region wants to go please let me have a completed Entry Form and £65 by Friday so I can send them all off together, with a request that we are kept together on the day.
Go to www.mkccc.com/ and click on the event for details and an entry form.
Hi James
I don’t know if got my earlier mail, but Margot and I are interested in joining you for the MK Classic Car Tour but I think we may be to late?
Kind regards,
Keith M/N28783
Hi Guys,
Sorry, but I do not recall receiving anything.
I strongly suspect that it may be too late, as we have already received our plaques and final instructions including departure times.
You could try contacting the organisers direct to see if there is any space remaining or if there are any cancellations.
Hi James
I only sent the other mail yesterday and I think I did not click the post button. I have rang the organiser and they said I was to late all the places were filled.
Next year sounds my only choose.Hi Ho
Have a great time we will be thinking of you all.
Kind regards,
Keith and Margot
Hi James
Just wanted to say thanks.
What a superb day, Brilliantly organised and fantastic venues, especially Millbrook and the Porsche centre at Silverstone.
Skid pan was brilliant.
Thanks for organising this.
Well done
Kevin
As above, great day thanks James
Ken
Yes guys, really glad I decided to go for this.
Have a couple of great memories of the day
Driving down a narrow country lane listening to the Ford Falcon V8 in front roaring away and the Ferrari Scuderia behind scraping on the hump in the middle of the road.
Mandy laughing her head off, despite getting soaked on the skidpan.
The guy in front of us in the queue for coffee at the Railway Museum boasting about how he overtook loads of cars in his Ferrari at Millbrook, but couldn’t shake off the MX-5 behind. I said to Mandy “that’ll be Kev then in his turbo.”
Mandy’s already said she wants to do it again next year.
Sounds like it was a good day!
Don’t forget to send a few lines and a photo to Alisa for the newsletter or Sharon for Soft Top Hardtop.
Thanks.
