Has anyone had any experience with Mazda UK re obtaining a dating certificate for an imported NA based on V.I.N. number please?
Truth is, of course, that ALL MX5s are imports, but some are more official than others.
I wouldn’t think Mazda UK were tracking the information of cars that weren’t imported through their network.

If yours is an import, you can get a car report including build date on carvx.jp
Costs 3500 yen (about £17 plus any fees from your bank)
