MK1 Eunos on 148,000 miles, off the road for around a year, worked on it over winter; belt, gaskets and the rest (didn’t touch the head) haven’t filled it with coolant yet as I’m flushing it as much as I can before hand. It seems to be putting out more white smoke/condensation than it used to but I’ve not been able to give it a good drive as I’m waiting on a mot. Just wondering if this is excessive and something I need to dig into based on anyone’s experience? Oil is perfect since I’ve changed it and I keep checking it for the obvious signs between flushes.
Here’s a vid of the smoke from my mk1 Eunos in the cold dead of December, only a few days before it’s MOT (which it passed).
So long as you can drive it and it clears up, it’s just condensation. Also, make sure your MOT tester is knowledgeable about the testing emission standards for pre 1995 and/or pre 1992 cars.
(deleted and reposted comment because I linked the wrong video)
Around 10°ish, I think the real test is going to have to wait until I’ve got the mot out of the way and given it a hard drive.
Hopefully it’s just because it’s not had a real drive in over a year then, I’ll make sure to drop it in conversation before I have it tested! Not had any issues before but it’s a different garage and it will just be my luck
A bit of condensation is normal, give it a good run.
