MK1 Soft Top & Frame Question

Hi,

The top of my glass screen on my MK1 soft top has come away from the fabric and I’m looking to replace it. I’ve repaired it once and as it’s never really worked that well I’m looking to replace it but have a few questions that hopefully someone can answer.

  1. My current glass mohair has always been difficult to fold. My friends isn’t but have never worked out why mine is so tricky. Could it be a MK2 hood on a MK1 frame?

  2. I’ve been offered a MK1 roof and frame for a good price but don’t want to have the same issues again. How can I ensure this is a good mechanism?
