Thank you very much for these - and yes, there is one that covers my car, so that will be very useful.
Not being that familiar with car stereos, I don’t understand what some of the buttons are for/doing, what the initials stand for, or how to use them. There must have been an illustrated leaflet about the stereo when the cars were first sold and that is what I was looking for - a button by button guide round the whole facia.
Anyway, I have successfully set up my pre-set radio stations so will no doubt fiddle with the unknowns later, pop in a CD, and eventually discover what they all do!
You’re welcome! You may wish to consider joining the Owners Club and then meeting up with some like minded owners in your area who may also have some knowledge of the Bose unit to help you.
I have managed to find a manual for a 2003 but its left hand drive from Mazda Canada https://www.mazda.ca/globalassets/en/pdf/manuals/mx-5/2003_miata_eng.pdf Hopefully this helps. Look at section 6-17 onwards for the stereo, its a the full manual that came with the car but you will not have some of the Canadian options like cruise control. But this should be helpful.
One of the options is for the volume to adjust automatically depending on the speed, as you go faster the volume will increase, neat option I never knew they had.
You can also buy add on’s that fit in the little panel at the bottom to add a Bluetooth or wired kite to play music from your phone, so some of the buttons may be for those extras bits.
