taking a camera for reference is a handy tip
I love my auto and drive it as often as I drive my ND, get yourself to a club night and see if any one has an auto to try.
Have you driven a manual? Autos have their place, but it’s not in a roadster. Only you know how bad your arm is but changing gear in an Mx5 is a joyous thing, my advice would be go and drive one, your arm rests on the drive shaft tunnel and changing gear is a fingertip operation, if your arm would be up to changing gear in any car it would be an mx5
well for better or worse I have taken the plunge and handed over a deposit for a 02 mk2.5 auto in black. 1st impressions mechanically and structurally sound , but cosmetically needing , it has been the target of vandalism … bonnet and wings have been keyed but I can live with that until I can get it looking reasonable.
