MK2 Carpet in a MK1?

Does anyone know if the main carpet from a mk2 will fit a mk1?  have compared the two from photographs they look identical.

 

Anyone?

 I can’t forsee a problem; the only difference might be how the carpet clips to the sills, and under the heater matrix. Plus the Mk2 carpet will be lousy quality, if its OE.

ok thanks SAZ9961.  Didnt know that the mk2 had poor quality carpets thought they would have been standard acroos the mk

From 1996, Mazda (Ford) downgraded the looped pile carpet to a thin fuzzy material.So late Mk1s also have poorer carpet.
