Hello, has anyone tried this?
No but post your results when you do.
It would be quite significantly a different diameter.
Don’t they also have problems clearing the front & rear wheel callipers ?, think it has been tried before.
And what do you do with the wheel you replace?
How does that go if ND is 5 stud & Mk2/Mk2.5 are 4 stud?
Or…am I missing some trick?
Yes Robin, you are missing trick.
The Mk3 had a 5 bolt wheel fixing.
The Mk4 went back to a 4 bolt wheel fixing.
Can someone explain to me why everything Mk4 ND I see is designed for 5 studs then?
They kicked off with 5, then at some time reverted to 4?
Hi Rob! Well the only reason I can think of is that the pr*ts in R+D didn’t do their job properly because my ND is definitely 4 studs and it’s an early one Aug 2015, and I don’t suppose it’s in any way a “one-off”!
PS: Of course it’s more likely that some pr*t in advertising just picked the wrong picture!
Mmmm…OK. Just wonder what Mx5Parts think they are doing then…plus a few others.
Unless…they just package off 4 stud versions of the same.
Really odd.
It’ll just be a generic photo for all versions (and quite possibly makes/models).
mx5parts will send you the correct version.

Generic photo’s maybe but then they are kind enough to supply spare wheel nuts!
“Also, unlike many alloy wheel suppliers, all ours come as a set of 4 complete with centre caps, 20 new wheel nuts, the required spiggot rings and carry a full 12 month manufacturers warranty.”

The ND Chassis shown at the March 2014 NewYork Motor Show around a year before the launch of the car had a four bolt wheel hub interface.
Yes, many wheel suppliers are renown for only selling wheels in threes!
