I have noticed that the nearside headlight is high.
How do I adjust the headlight to lower the beam?
Thanks
Pre-facelift cars have a philips head/8mm hex adjuster that is set at about 45 degrees (it sort of disapears into the wing behind the headlamp). Facelift cars have a gear type adjuster. These are also adjusted with a philips screw driver.
Hi
Thank you - that worked - I did wonder what that was for.
Having fixed that - the main beam now doesn’t work (it doesn’t rain, but it pours!) I have bought a replacement bulb but can’t figure out how to replace it.
There is a black plastic unit with three wires (two red and a white or yellow one) that seems to be behind the bulb. I have tried pulling this - it seems to move but doesn’t come off. Should I pull harder? I don’t want to break anything. There also is a rubber surround that I can pull partially off- but again that seems to be retained by the plastic unit.
Any hints / tips gratefully received
Regards
That sound like the plug yes, there are sort of securing tags on either side of the plug, squeeze these as you pull. Also the rubber boot does tent to stick itself to the bulb over time but it will come off. Take care not to bend the wire clip that secures the bulb.
Hi
Thank you for the prompt response - because I am now at work during daylight - it will probably be the weekend before I give that a try.
Thanks again
That worked - thanks
