thanks …ordered

This one Bally

Mx5parts also have them at a price.

Whether your is the short or long nose version buy the one above, if the you have the shorter version fitter (original) then all you do is trim the hose by around 30mm and it fits.

thanks mick … did you change your own stat ???
is it easy enough ? :man_shrugging:

Yep did mine around 2 years ago with the Mahle as pictured.
Bit awkward and a few bits to removed, throttle body and associated stuff as it’s under the intake, intake stays in situ.
Just need a small socket on a long extension, 8mm springs to mind (I think) to actually get the bolts holding the stat out. As I say you may have to trim the large hose a tad if you have the short neck stat fitted.
Good time to change the coolant as you need to drain some out below stat level anyway.:+1:

thanks mick , will get fl22 too :+1: :+1:

If it shows, you probably need to be a member and be signed in.

Great info.
I need to do this too.

Thanks mick
Great info
I was wondering about bleeding it :sunglasses::sunglasses:

Nose up on ramps did it for me. Just squeeze those heater hoses as it’s running up to temp (heater on) a few times and it’ll burp the air, mine gave one large belch.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Measure what comes out and what goes back in is a bulletproof method but obviously can’t be done if you flush with a hose etc.

Added benefit is it allows access for extra engine bay detailing that I’m sure won’t be lost on you Bally…

price please posted ?

Bally Mx5parts have the long neck version, it will fit your car. If you have the short neck version fitted just trim the large hose on the car by around 30mm, that what I did.:+1:
Trouble is you’ll be paying £77+del

Alternatively ring Opie oils, it’s where I got mine from. I know they say enquire on their website but it was a stock item previously.
I guess the way parts supplies are going it’s one part that’s suffering right now, supply/demand
