Mk3.75 BOSE radio replacement, advice needed

I have recently bought a 2014 MK3.75 2 litre Sport Tech Recaro fitted as standard with a Bose radio,

marvellous though the Bose radio is, I would prefer to have an o/e Sat Nav radio as fitted to the

MK3.75 Sport Tech Nav rather than using a Tom Tom with trailing wires.

Moreover, when the hood is down at motorway speeds the Tom Tom is not clearly audible.

If I remove the Bose radio will the Bose speakers operate on the o/e Sat Nav radio or any other

radio Sat Nav combination?

Or do have to totally remove the complete Bose system speakers & radio & install an entire new

system, be it o/e or after market?

Please advise

Keith

Recently replaced the Bose head unit in my 3.5 with a Kenwood and all works splendidly. The Bose system has an amp, buried somewhere behind the seats, so it’s essential to source the correct adaptor wiring harness that sends a signal from the new head unit’s pre-amp; I used this one. The only problem was that it wasn’t powering-up the Bose amp so had to find a wiring diagram and provide it with a feed using the aerial power cable from the Kenwood.

Hello Mac5

Thank you for the reply & information.

Which Kenwood system did you fit?
