Mk3 Battery type confusion

  1. My model of MX-5 is: 2008 NC1 2.0 sport

I need a new battery, and came across a thread in here saying the 063 type was incorrect - despite being the option that comes up on many part finder searches on various websites. It said to go with a 158 size.

But… Tayna don’t even list a 158 size (that I could find anyway). I have a bit of loyalty to Tayna as they have been good in the past. They suggest a Bosch S4 021, which is a type 48. The reviews seem to say this is a perfect fit in a Mk1, so does the Mark 1 share the same battery sizing/spec as the Mk3, or have Tayna got the parts selector wrong?

Bosch do an S4 158, but I am wondering if there is an equivalent model number? What have others bought?

I could remove and measure to be sure - but just being lazy I guess.

I’ve purchased 2 of these batteries below in the past, for different NC’s, perfect fit, replaces the original Panasonic factory fit battery. Insert your car/reg in ebay but you’ll find the below fits all NC’s. Also got a Yuasa on my daily driver.

I use the same Yuasa as MickAP.
Been on 3 years and no problems👍

Yuasa for me too.
I do keep it on the C-TEK MXS 5 when not in use.

I purchased An Enduroline 048 from Tayna at the end of August. It is a perfect fit in my 2009 2.0 Sport Tech.

YBX5053 fitted today, perfect size and five minute job to fit. Thanks for the recommendation guys.
