I want to take my door cards off in the near future, i can see a screw in the cup holder, are there more fixing screws hidden away, anybody had theirs off?

Yes, there’s one under the cap of the door grab and another behind the door handle.
So with the one in the cupholder -3 in total. The rest is held on with panel grippy things (technical term)
Have a look at this video, about the 2:30 mark shows them all (although I would take a bit more care removing the covers than he does to avoid damaging the plastic!)
