Evening all,
Car is a 2009 2.0 Sport with 33k miles.
I’m part way through doing a full underside restore and protect, which in doing so I’ve removed the front shocks. Looking at the upper bushes I wonder if they need changed whilst in there (see pics below). Car drives nicely and no MOT advisories for the suspension.
As I don’t want to use poly bushes I think I need to replace the entire arm, but can only find Mazda OEM options at £200 each side.
Struggling to find any aftermarket upper arms, do they exist? Any suggestions?
Not in stock but worth giving them all call.

Replace the bushes in your current arms
I know you say you don’t fancy poly bush but doing just the top arm with them you will not feel much difference (if any) to the OEM bushes.
I did the full car with poly bushes.
It didn’t feel much different to std bushes until I then changed to Tein Flex Z coil over kit.

Get your existing arms blasted. They’ll come up like new. Then replace the bushes with OEM. I know, I watch Wheeler Dealers a lot
Thanks for the suggestions.
I guess one of the benefits of changing the complete arm is the new ball joint too. Plus less faff of drilling out the old ones. Not sure I have the patience for that
With that said, I could take it down to my local garage. Will look into availability of bushes, although worry i ■■■■■■ up the ball joint removing it.
The ball joint doesn’t remove from the arm as far as I’m aware ?
I’ve just refurbed mine with poly bushes.
Came off a 39000 mile NC1…ball joints are still in good condition.
Out of interest, how long did it take to remove the old bushes and what tools did you need?
Ive pm’d you regarding method and tools I used
