    Does anybody know where I can get an exhaust centre piece repair section from, MX5 parts website says none in stock.

What’s wrong with it?
Mine split at the seam where the box is.
Got it welded up for £40 cash

If it’s this part MA398L its ready available from yout local motor factors who sell Klarius.It should be around the £60 mark

It’s got a deep rust patch where the seam meets the end of the silencer towards the back box end, it hasn’t blown through but I don’t think it’s got long left.

It’s not this part but I have seen these, the one on mine is the short repair section where the original pipe from the cat through mid pipe has been cut and the repair section sleeved over, do you think I could remove my old section and disconnect the original pipe from the mid pipe and fit one of these.

yep. thats where I had mine welded at Andrews in Beverley BUT any good welder can do it.
New part may be better.
My repair lasted and is still going strong 20k later

MX5 city have the replacement part in stock but at the best part of £85 including delivery, I might have to bite the bullet and go with a new one but I’ll run it past a decent welder first.
