I know they are as sturdy as an eggshell but can they be replaced or do I have to get the whole assembly or can the individual visors be done? I’ve seen them being sold separately on ebay but am under the impression that they are fixed. Can someone help please?
Hiya Nick, I replaced both of mine with ones from an AUDI A4 convertible. I now have illuminated mirrors and, more importantly, the ability to swivel the visors to the sides to block sun from the side windows. Excellent result. The visors are black, soft vinyl padded too. IIRC when I took the entire trim off the header rail to allow this, t could not find a way of removing the OEM visors, so I ended up cutting one of the hinge pins on each visor, then they literally fell off. No going back at that point though I also had to modify the two receivers for the roof that are at each side, so again, not for the faint hearted! One of the better mods I’ve done though, really effective.
They also have an extension piece that slides out and fills the gap between the visors, for that bit that causes issues

Thank you for the pic as you have just helped me realise how I can get to the wiring behind the interior light. The light does not work and both bulb and fuses are ok.
My panel will be coming off on the next few days.
Barrie - removing the full visor assembly is about the limit of my expertise, I’ll see if I can find someone with the relevant skill levels to go for your fix, looks perfect.
