2006 2ltr Chassis number ending 106893 am i right in thinking it has the long thermostat ?
According to this you have a long one ! https://www.mx5parts.co.uk/thermostat-cover-mk3-35-p-2330.html
This is the one you want if the long one
MX5parts want £72.
I’ve bought the one in the lionk above but from Opie direct. Long story short, they told me via email they were out of stock then quoted mid Dec for them to arrive, I now have one, they delivered it last week… Do check if they have stock (they show 2 in stock in that link)
Incidently I have the short stat, I plan on chopping the coolant hose approx 30-40mm as the only difference is the longer spigot for the larger hose.

More options at this site. Ford would have a comperable part but it is quite a price difference. According to Autodoc these cars share the same part

- FORD Focus Mk3 Estate (DYB) (Year of Construction 07.2012 - ..., 250 PS, Petrol)

Cheers lads,
Ordered the therm for £26( Ford) after your replies.Plus the parts guy at my local Mazda dealer confirmed they are identical (Mazda £71).Quite shocked that he said they had FL22 longlife in at just under £15 for 5ltrs.So 10ltrs paid for and pick up on Monday morning.
