Hi everyone can anyone tell me what’s best oil to use in my nd1 gearbox and diff like to change regularly as I do compete in few hill climbs and sprints ?
Thanks
I have used this Diff Oil, Genuine Mazda Long Life Hypoid SG1, 1 Ltr, Mk4 & RF – MX5 Parts for the diff.
For the gearbox Millers CRX 75w/90 NT+. Millers Oils Motorsport CRX 75w90 NT+ Fully Synthetic synth Gear Oil 5L | eBay The Mazda gear box oil does not seem to be available in the UK so used the above as recommended on here. I found that the gear change from cold was a little ‘stiffer’ with this oil but after less than a mile it would be OK. When hot the gear change is very smooth, but you can not still ‘rush’ the changes.
For hill climbs and sprints i would recommend you use Millers CRX 75w/140 NT+ in the gearbox and Millers CRX LS 75w/90 NT+ in the diff. Both get quite hot and require a high quality fully synthetic oil to cope.
